⚠️ Important update: your policy and the situation in the Middle East

Your policy and the situation in the Middle East

Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, there's significant travel disruption and updated travel advice affecting several countries and major connecting airports. We understand this is a difficult situation. Unfortunately, our policy doesn't cover claims caused by war, acts of war or civil unrest. This includes trip cancellation, cutting your trip short and any additional costs that come from these events.

How to move forward

Since our policy doesn't cover these circumstances, you'll need to contact your providers directly – and they may be able to help:

  • Package trips: contact your tour operator. You might be covered under the Package Travel Regulations 2018.
  • Flights: contact your airline to discuss rebooking, refunds or passenger rights under UK261/EU261.
  • Hotels, car hire and other prepaid services: get in touch with your provider to see if you can rearrange dates or get a refund.
  • Rescheduling your policy: if you have a single trip policy, contact the issuer to see if you can move your cover to new travel dates (where this is allowed).

We know this isn't the outcome you were hoping for. If you have any questions, we're here to help.
