Your insurance is automatically active as long as your Monzo plan is active.
Before you head off, make sure you meet the travel insurance criteria:
- You are a UK resident.
- You are registered with a general practitioner (GP) in the UK.
- Your trip must begin and end in the UK with both outward and inbound travel tickets purchased before the trip begins. Trips with one-way or open tickets are not covered.
- A covered trip must have a maximum duration of 45 consecutive days.
- possible covered example: i.e. a trip from the 1st of August to the 11 of September may be covered;
- non -covered example: i.e. a trip from the 1 of August to the 31 of october, is not covered.
- You are not travelling against medical advice*.
- You comply with any requirements of your public transport carrier.

*If you're travelling with a health issue (a past or current condition, injury, illness or physical/mental issue) for which you're receiving treatment or medication, and were aware of it when you booked or began your trip, it's considered a pre-existing condition. Unfortunately, this won’t be covered by the policy.
