When does my travel insurance start?

It depends on the type of cover and when you upgraded your Monzo account. 

Here's what you should know:

General cover:

1. Starts on or after the date you upgrade your Monzo account to Premium or Max.
2. Applies to trips that begin after your account upgrade.
3. Can cover trips booked before the upgrade, as long as the departure date is after the upgrade.

Cancellation cover:

1. Begins when you book your trip.
2. Stops when your trip begins.

Important notes:

• If you upgrade your account while on a trip, that trip is not covered.
• To benefit from cancellation cover, you must upgrade before making any travel bookings.
