Important information:
- All six conditions above must be met for your insurance coverage to be potentially valid.
- Ensure your Monzo subscription is active and up-to-date before and during your trip.
- If your residency status changes, notify Monzo immediately, as this may affect your coverage.
- If you have any medical concerns, consult with your healthcare provider before travelling.
- We would cover the use of motorized vehicles if an applicable current driving license is held allowing the use of such vehicles in the UK and your trip destination.
For your Monzo travel insurance to be potentially valid, you must:
- Monzo Account Status: Be a Monzo plan (Monzo Premium, Monzo Max or Monzo Max Family) plan holder at the time of the incident.
- Residency: You must be a UK resident.
- Age Limit: You shouldn't be more than 70 years old.
- Trip Duration: Your trip shouldn't exceed 45 days.

Health condition: if you’re travelling with a past or current medical condition (such as an illness, injury, or physical/mental health issue) for which you’re receiving treatment or medication — and you were aware of it when booking or starting your trip — it’s considered a pre-existing condition. Unfortunately, this isn’t covered under the policy.
- You must not be travelling against FCDO advice.
There are specific eligibility conditions to be insured under Monzo Premium and Monzo Max Family Plan if you meet all of the following conditions:
- You are a valid Monzo Premium, Monzo Max or Monzo Max Family plan holder.
- You are the partner of a plan holder, declared and named by them in the Monzo app.
- You are an unmarried, under 19-year-old child (or under 21 if in full time education) of the plan holder or their partner, declared and named in the Monzo app.
- You are a UK resident.
- You are not travelling against medical advice and have consulted a medical professional if you have health concerns or possible pre-existing medical conditions affecting your ability to travel.
- You comply with the terms and conditions of your public transport carrier.

Just remember to keep any relevant receipts or official documents, like a police report in case of theft, to help support your claim.
